Conexant CX20549-12 and conexant Cx20561Audio – sound Driver windows xp 32/64 bit.

After installing Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Drivers restart the notebook and install Conexant High Definition Audio Driver.

Download audio driver and install it. This will create a swsetup folder in C drive (”C:\swsetup\sp36090″)

Installing this driver may result in an error. But continue with the following steps to get the audio driver installed correctly.

1. Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.

2. Right click on “Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus” and click Update driver.

3. Select “Install from a list or specific location”
4. Click Next. Then select “Don search, I will choose the driver to install”

5. Click Next and then select “Sound, video and game controller” from the list.

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp36090folder and select the .inf file and click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

Realtek audio – Sound drivers

As you know installing realtek audio driver is not very easy.
Most of time you cant here any voice from your notebook after installed xp.

If you have a notebook which use realtek audio card please follow my intructions.

You should install chipset drivers first, then you should follow those steps.

Click on Start and select Run. Now type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
Right click on “Audio device on High Definition Audio Bus” and click Update driver.
Select “Install from a list or specific location”
Click Next. Then select “Don’t search, I will choose the driver to install”
Click Next and then select “Sound, video and game controller” from the list.
Click Next and then click Have Disk.
Click Browse and show C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\InstallShield folder.
Click ok. After that restart your computer.
Download and install Realtek HD Audio Hotfix (zip pass is www.notebook.gen.tr)
UPDATE: If you installed windows sp3 you must install Universal Audio Architecture High Definition Audio AddOn 1.0 for sp3
